11K Hours and Counting: Data on Your Data People

by Alisha DiGiandomenico

Each December, InOutsource pauses to take stock of the past year. We review company achievements and celebrate collective accomplishments. In analyzing our internal data, we intend to recognize our successes and identify areas for improvement. Whether it’s satisfied clients or target goals for the next year, we trust our data will help get us there.

But you know us: at InOutsource we like to go beyond the standard numbers. Does a picture that shows hours worked, contracts performed, and revenues gained really tell the story of our accomplishments this year? Focusing only on our work paints our team with broad strokes. What details in the data look beyond what we normally see in the typical end of year summary? Simple as it sounds, companies are made of individuals and at InOutsource our people are our most valuable asset. So here’s a quick review of what we’ve been up to this year at work, at home, and on the road.

At work, we welcomed 12 new firms and engaged 61 current clients. We worked over 11,395 hours to make 15 go-live dates.  Our team landed in 21 states and travelled over 30,000 miles to visit our clients.

Our team is able to make all this happen when we’re fueled by more than 260 pounds of coffee from Elixr (it’s no surprise that our favorite roast is the Bee Keeper espresso blend), and thanks to the 754 pounds of snacks from Nuts to You, we never go hungry while working on your projects.

At home, our team added two pets to the InOutsource puppy gang and welcomed three new babies into the world. Seven co-workers put down roots and purchased new homes. With more than 675 days out of the office, our team traveled the world (four team members to Italy alone), visited friends and family, and took time to take care of ourselves. Three team members followed through on a commitment to work out after work; others made a similar commitment, but it included happy hour instead. Finally, at the time of publishing this blog post, the InOutsource team will have given back to our community by donating to 30 charities. It was a busy year for our team, just as we know it was for yours too.

We wish you health, happiness, and success in the year ahead, and we look forward to seeing what data lies beyond the standard set to see the fuller, brighter picture with you in 2018.
